Paper Meringue & Other Delights: The Work of Leo Rabkin

We are currently organizing a traveling exhibition called Paper Meringue & Other Delights: The Work of Leo Rabkin. The artistic estate has just been accessioned and we are delighted and eager to share this work with a national audience. Below are a few images of Leo’s most vibrant sculptures that are included in the exhibition of 39 pieces. This selection represents every phase of Leo Rabkin’s career. This exhibition is meant to be an educational effort of the foundation to document the joy and emotional intensity of the artist’s work.  We are looking to send it to other non-profit institutions including university museums and regional art centers across the country. Leo’s artworks are suited for a variety of spaces and layouts. They include suspended sculptures, large watercolors, constructed boxes of modest scale and intricate works on paper. Our exhibition will animate and fill a small museum gallery using wall space, pedestals, and perhaps a corner where a work could be suspended in air.  Packages will be sent out to prospective venues in October with login information to access the full collection and gallery information.  Please contact us to learn more.
