Sam Lefebvre
Sam Lefebvre is a writer and musician in Oakland, California. His criticism and journalism has appeared in publications including The New York Times, The Believer, The Guardian, Pitchfork, Wire, Spin, The Fader, Village Voice, the Outline, and the San Francisco Chronicle. He has worked as a reporter, columnist and editor at Impose, SF Weekly and the East Bay Express, and he was columnist-in-residence at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s multimedia platform Open Space. He has also authored many liner notes, book introductions, catalogue essays and self-published print periodicals. His enterprise reporting on Bay Area arts and culture has received awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies. Lefebvre is an arts reporter at NPR-PBS member KQED.
